French television and radio have announced a week of literary programming from September 7 to 13. The schedule includes author interviews, book discussions, and special episodes dedicated to new releases across multiple channels.

France 5's La Grande Librairie

On Wednesday, September 9 at 9:05 PM, an original episode of "La Grande Librairie" hosted by Augustin Trapenard will air. The program will feature several authors discussing their latest works.

The collective for La Grande évasion includes Virginie Despentes, Tania de Montaigne, Laurent Binet, Philippe Claudel, and Hervé Le Tellier.

France Inter's Literary Schedule

France Inter has a packed schedule of literary content throughout the week. On Monday, September 7, Sonia Devillers' portrait segment at 9 AM will focus on author Yannick Haenel and his book La solitude des professeurs est infinie from Gallimard. Later, at 4 PM, Matthieu Noël's "ZoomZoom Zen" will interview Claude Guibal about her book Ce que la guerre fait aux hommes published by Albin Michel.

Tuesday features a program on censorship. At 3 PM, Fabrice Drouelle hosts "Affaires sensibles" for an episode about the censorship of Violette Leduc's novel Ravages, published by Gallimard. Yannick Haenel will be interviewed again at 8 PM on Laurent Goumarre's show "Rien ne s’oppose à la nuit."

Wednesday's "Grand bien vous fasse" at 10 AM, hosted by Ali Rebeihi, will welcome Anna Ostasenko Bogdanoff to discuss her novel Rappelle-moi, ma belle from JC Lattès. Psychiatrist Serge Tisseron will also be present to discuss his book La honte : psychanalyse d’un lien social from Dunod. Later, at 4 PM, journalist Julien Chavannes will discuss his book L'autre visage de #MeToo on "ZoomZoom Zen." The evening concludes with Monique Canto Sperber discussing La fin de la culture française on Laurent Goumarre's 8 PM show.

Other guests during the week include Pascal Lardellier on Thursday discussing Rites, je vous aime, essayist Antoine Buéno on his work Comment la technologie promet le meilleur des mondes, and Arnaud Esquerre on his book Contrer l’emprise de l'extrême droite dans les médias. On Friday, Claire Marin will discuss her book Nos vies écorchées.

Saturday features a special edition of "La librairie francophone" tied to the "Livre sur la place" festival. Host Laurent Goumarre will interview authors Amélie Nothomb (L'Adolescence du perroquet), Philippe Jaenada (L'Inconnue du quai de Javel), Daria Marx (Tuer le vieux), and Martine Delvaux (Divas).

On Sunday, Rebecca Manzoni hosts "Le Masque et la Plume" at 10 AM, where critics will debate several new books.

Other Broadcast Appearances

On Public Sénat, Claire Chazal will host Yannick Haenel and Sylvain Prudhomme on Friday, September 11 at 11 PM for "Au bonheur des livres." Haenel will discuss La solitude des professeurs est infinie, while Prudhomme will talk about De l’autre côté du lac from Minuit.

Europe 1's program "La voix est livre" on Sunday, September 13 at 6 PM will feature Nicolas Carreau interviewing Thomas Gunzig about his book Spectres from Au Diable Vauvert. The segment will also include a visit to the library of Line Papin. According to Livres Hebdo, France Culture was unable to provide its programming schedule for the week.
